The Rise of Fake Bike Brand Websites

With the rise of online shopping, there has also been an increase in fake websites that advertise products at very low prices. These fraudulent sites exist solely to deceive customers and take their money. We prioritize the security of our customers and the integrity of our products and brands – and that all DMR Bikes products are sold through legitimate outlets and genuine bike shops.

What to Look For
1. The offer is too good to be true
If you come across DMR or DMR Bikes products at unusually low prices with excessive discounts, it's a red flag. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. Avoid giving them your money or any personal information.
2. Check the Domain Name
Many fake or fraudulent websites use domain names that reference our brands, like DMR or DMR Bikes, often adding extra words such as “outlet” or “sale.” For instance, domains like www.dmroutlet.com or www.dmrdyedbrodiscount.com should raise suspicion.
3. Suspicious Contact Information
Verify the accuracy of the contact information provided. Check if the phone number is working and if the address is valid. Google or GoogleMaps should be able to tell you this quite easily.
4. Newly Established Site
You can check how long a website has been active by visiting archive.org. If the site is brand new and offers steep discounts, do not make any purchases.

If You Believe You’ve Fallen Victim to a Fake Website
If you suspect you have provided personal information to a fake or fraudulent website, contact your bank or credit card company immediately. Alas, there is nothing that DMR Bikes can do to help if you've given money or information to a fake site.

Reporting Fake Websites
If you suspect a website is fake or fraudulent, please report it to us through our contact page. Thanks!
